Virtual Learning

For our students who may not be local or are unable to meet face-to-face, they may select classes delivered completely virtually. These classes are selected with the oversight of a Teacher on Record from Options Virtual Charter School. A parent or guardian supervises the instruction daily at home and communicates with the Teacher on Record via email, phone, conferences, and/or text messages.

Virtual Learning with Blended Support

A second choice is Virtual Learning with Blended Support. Student support comes in many forms. Students may participate in weekly work sessions that provide the student with face-to-face teacher contact for curriculum support. Examples include Spanish, physical education, civics and more. In addition, our staff provides special education support and 504 accommodations.

Blended Learning: Virtual and Local Middle/High School

The final educational choice includes a mixture of Virtual Learning and attending face-to-face classes taken at our Elkhorn Area Middle School or High School. Some students may want a specific course that may be offered in-building. They may enroll through Options to attend the middle or high school class and continue with virtual classes through Options.
